" Hunting and Fishing Techniques " is both a great story of business and passion. 45 years ago, founder Denys Benoit , a fishing enthusiast if ever there was one, modestly started a fishing tackle business in Montérégie. In the early 1980s, a first real boutique opened its doors on Chemin de Chambly, in Longueuil.

Mr. Benoit did not hesitate to share his passion with his increasingly numerous clients. A real enthusiast, Denys Benoit goes further by publishing a hunting and fishing magazine, Techniques de Pêche , derived from his book at the origin of everything entitled: Secrets de la pêche au vers de nuit . This Quebec bestseller, still today considered a reference in the industry, could easily have been titled the where, when and how of fishing to never come back empty-handed from an excursion.

The Chemin de Chambly business is a success. Fortunately Denys has help and relief thanks to the ticket from his son Danyel. Together, they decide to move the company to occupy a large area.

Then it is the jump on boulevard Taschereau in Greenfield Park, near the Charles-Lemoyne hospital and finally a few years later, a new move takes place leading the shop to its current premises at 3395 boulevard Taschereau in Saint-Hubert , where Danyel takes the reins.

The inventory is impressive and the offer is impressive in the field. But the fact remains that what sets the store apart, and which has ensured the success of “ Techniques Chasse et Pêche ” for 45 years now, are the employees and advisors. They know their products and understand the needs of customers because they are also passionate about hunting, fishing and the outdoors.
