ATD DRAG
Daiwa's Automatic Tournament Drag uses an improved drag grease that has a low viscosity at rest, but becomes more viscous immediately after starting the drag. This reduces initial drag start inertia and combined with structural changes to the ATD drag system results in smoother drag from initial hookup.

Daiwa's first generation of digital gearing ensures a perfect mesh between ultra-strong stainless steel drive gears and pinions to optimize speed, power, durability and smoothness.
MONOCOQUE (MQ)
A one-piece frame eliminates the use of traditional two-piece body and sideplate construction. A one-piece body uses a bolt-on motor plate to house the main gear, reducing flex and twist under load, creating a sealed mechanism. The elimination of the side plate also allowed for a more compact body design. MQ technology not only makes coils stronger and better sealed, but also more compact.
